Question: When to empty a septic tank?
Answer: According to our Glancy Enviro septic tank expert; septic tanks should be emptied every 1 to 3 years, depending on usage and tank size. Some septic tank customers require emptying every 6 months. Regular inspections can help determine the right schedule. If your septic tank is overfilling and you need to empty it more than once a year, it is most likely that the soak hole or trench percolation area is blocked.
